$70,000 Donated



Help in a Cup, a virtual soup kitchen program, raised nearly $20,000.  And la Madeleine announces an additional $50,000 in donations of its famous soups and baked goods to local food banks and outreach centers.


Announced in late March, the program extended to April 30th given positive response and impact.  Guests were given the opportunity to add a cup of soup and bread to their takeout and curbside orders for a $1 donation benefitting local charities responding to the many challenges the coronavirus pandemic has presented the communities la Madeleine serves. Worthy recipients include:

  • Dallas-Ft.Worth Area: North Texas Food Bank, Tarrant Area Food Bank, Arlington Outreach, Staff Meals Dallas, Union Gospel & Allen Community Outreach Center
  • Houston: Houston Food Bank
  • Austin & Waco: Central Texas Food Bank
  • San Antonio: San Antonio Food Bank
  • El Paso: The Salvation Army of El Paso, Texas Area Command
  • Lubbock: South Plains Food Bank, Salvation Army, Covenant and UMC Hospitals, Calvary Baptist Church
  • New Orleans: Second Harvest Food Bank of New Orleans
  • Baton Rouge: Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank
  • Shreveport: Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana (Shreveport),
  • Washington DC Area: Manna Food Center & Capital Area Food Bank
