Baguette Breakfast Tartines

Feeds 4 - 6.

Ingredients

Tartine Bread:

  • 1 La Madeleine Baguette, sliced
  • 1 Stick of butter, melted

Nutella Banana:

  • Nutella, as needed
  • 1 Banana thinly sliced
  • La Madeleine Granola, as needed
  • Drizzle of honey

Green Eggs & Ham:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 Eggs, whisked
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 tablespoon pesto
  • 1-2 slices of prosciutto

Strawberry Rhubarb Confit & Cheese:

  • La Madeleine Strawberry Rhubarb Confit
  • Sliced brie
  • Toasted walnuts

Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese

  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Smoked salmon
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Capers

Directions

Tartine Bread:

Preheat oven to 350 F degrees. Place baguette slices on a lined sheet tray and brush them evenly with melted butter. Bake for 5-10 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool before use.

Nutella Banana:

Spread Nutella evenly on each tartine, then top with sliced banana. Sprinkle tartine with granola and a drizzle of honey.

Green Eggs & Ham:

Melt butter in a nonstick sauté pan. Season whisked eggs with salt & pepper if desired. Add eggs to the hot pan gently moving the eggs consistently to a soft scramble.  While in pan gently fold in pesto. Immediately spoon eggs on tartines. Place 1 slice of prosciutto, or your favorite ham on each tartine.

Strawberry Rhubarb Confit & Cheese:

Spread Strawberry Rhubarb confit on each tartine. Place a slice of brie, or your favorite soft rind cheese on confit and sprinkle with toasted walnuts.

Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese:

Spread cream cheese evenly on each tartine.  Place smoked salmon slices over cream cheese. Sprinkle with thinly sliced red onion & capers.
