Franchise la Madeleine

Incredible Brand. Incomparable Opportunity.

Since opening the doors of our first location in 1983, la Madeleine has grown from a single local bakery to a beloved French café concept with approximately 85 locations nationwide. Our plan is to continue growth with new cafés in our existing markets, as well as in new franchise markets.

Our passion for serving handcrafted, crave-worthy country French-inspired dishes makes us a favorite with critics and guests alike. Our casual French home atmosphere and versatile menu makes us the perfect place for any meal or a special afternoon treat. La Madeleine guests are greeted with a friendly “bonjour” and an inviting ambiance where they can relax while enjoying time with friends and family. With a menu that satisfies cravings morning, noon, and night, it’s no wonder our guests keep coming back.

la Madeleine Franchise Candidate Process:
Process for a Franchisee

Below are the steps that will occur as you move through the process of evaluating the La Madeleine franchise opportunity and we evaluate you as a franchise partner:

1. Initial Interest

Following your initial interest, you will receive informational materials, an application and a financial qualification form. Please fill out the forms and return with bank/brokerage statements showing liquid assets available. All information is kept confidential.

2. Due Diligence

After initially qualifying financially, you will receive our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) for review. The FDD contains information related to roles/responsibilities between us and our franchisees, development cost information, earnings claims on our corporate locations and more. We will then set up face-•‐to-•‐face meetings with our development and operations teams. As part of that due diligence from our side, we will ask to visit to review your interview the operator who will be responsible for your La Madeleine operations, assuming that person has already been identified. We will also ask you for a concise business plan with your thoughts on developing your la Madeleine operation.

The next step will be to visit our team in Dallas, TX, for a Discovery Day where you will learn more about becoming a franchise partner, better understand our operations and franchisee support and visit in one of our newest corporate restaurants for lunch with our senior management.

3. Finalize and Sign

Assuming that both parties are ready to move forward and all required documentation has been submitted and approved (see below), we will discuss and determine a territory for your La Madeleine operations, agree on a development schedule to open new units and send you franchise and development agreements to execute.

Our Passion Is Your Success

For experienced restaurateurs, la Madeleine presents an exciting, financially sound opportunity to share in a unique concept with great potential. At la Madeleine we pride ourselves on our handcrafted food and ambiance we share with our guests. But behind the scenes we work even harder to provide support to our franchisees to help them grow both their business and the la Madeleine brand.

We understand investing in the la Madeleine name and menu is just part of the equation for you. World-class operations and efficiencies are equally important and la Madeleine has those. Our commitment to you as a franchisee is to constantly work to find better, more efficient and more profitable ways to help you operate your la Madeleine franchise.
